Born on the 28th of June in 1967,
I grew up in
Höhr-Grenzhausen, a small city in the middle of Germany.
My primary education I got on the
Gymnasium im Kannenbäckerland
there.

In 1985 I started to study physics at the
physics institute
of Bonn university.
-
Since 1987 I am a member of the
german physical society
-
My diploma thesis
was on a part of the tagging system of the
SAPHIR-Experiment.
-
The PhD Thesis (Doktorarbeit)
on omega meson photoproduction
was done in the years from 1991 to 1996,
where from 1992 to the end of the thesis work i was a member of the
"Graduiertenkolleg Subnukleare Strukturen der Materie"
-
From January 1998 till 2006 I worked on the
Muon trigger of the
Compass-Experiment
at CERN.
-
On October the 2nd 1998 I married my wife.
-
From August 1st of 1999 to Decenber 31st of 1999 I was a
scientific associate at CERN
-
From January 1st of 2000 to September 2004 it was again the university of
Bonn that employed me to work on the COMPASS muon trigger,
with a intermediate period from 2001 to 2003,
during which the University of Erlangen paid me.

From October 2004 up to June 2006 it's
the University of Mainz that enabled me to continue my work on the
Muon trigger.

From May 2007 up to June 2016 I worked at the
BGO-OD-Experiment
and the
Crystal Barrel Experiment
in the
Working group of Hartmut Schmieden.

Since mid of April 2017 I work in the IT group of DESY.
Past activities (a very incomplete list)
- Some teaching in the Fortgeschrittenenpraktikum in the Bonn physics institute,
where I looked after.
- Work on the COMPASS muon trigger.
- Work on the COMPASS
DAQ.
